How to leave, and what we charge while you stay
Published 31 October 2026
We wrote this page because of what the reviews of this category say. Read the one and two-star reviews of the main WhatsApp chatbot platforms and the complaints are mostly not about features. They are about being stuck: unable to cancel, refused a refund on credit never used, waiting three days for a reply, and finding a percentage on a bill nobody mentioned.
So here are our answers to all six, in the order a buyer worries about them. Every one is checkable, and where something is a promise rather than a mechanism, it says so.
Cancelling takes one click and nobody's permission
Open the plan page in your dashboard, choose Manage billing, and cancel in the Stripe portal that opens. That is the whole process. No email, no chat queue, no retention call, and nobody who has to agree.
It takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for, and the assistant keeps answering your customers until then. Nothing is clawed back and nothing stops early.
This is worth a section only because of the alternative. Wati has no self-service cancellation: a reviewer on 28 October 2026 writes that there is no way to cancel through the website and you have to go through a chat; one on 15 September that it is made "purposefully extremely hard" and the charges continued; one in July that a failed downgrade defaulted to a full annual renewal. ManyChat carries the same complaint. It is the single most common thing people say about this category.
Monthly, with nothing paid in advance
No annual term, no minimum period, no setup fee, no onboarding fee, no implementation charge. You pay for a month and you get a month.
The important consequence is the one that does not look like a feature: there is no prepaid credit pool. Several platforms in this market sell message credits up front, and some of them expire. That is the mechanism behind most of the refund complaints in the category — money paid in advance for something unused is money there is an argument about. We never take it, so the argument cannot happen.
Your data stays reachable after you stop paying
Cancelling stops the assistant answering customers, because that is what the plan pays for. It does not lock you out. Your login keeps working, your inbox is still there, and you can read and export your own conversations.
Ask us to delete the account and everything in it, and we delete it. What we hold and why is in the privacy policy.
We cannot mark up Meta's fees, and that is structural
Since 1 October 2026 Meta charges businesses for service messages — replies inside the 24-hour window a customer opened by writing to you — after the first 1,000 per phone number per month. Every reply Jabee sends is one of those, so it is a real line on your bill.
It is Meta's bill, to your own business account, at Meta's published rates. Jabee connects your number directly to Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API as a Meta Tech Provider, with no business solution provider and no reseller credit line in between. We never handle that money. There is nothing for us to add a percentage to, whatever we might want.
Compare: Wati publishes a per-country rate card at /pricing-by-country/, a
page absent from its English sitemap, ending with the line that a 15% commission
will be added, with the figure itself behind a login.
You do not have to believe us about this. Look at who sends your WhatsApp invoice. If it is Meta, nobody in between is taking a cut; if it is your software vendor, somebody might be. The pricing page works through both bills with real numbers, and the comparison page says which other vendors pass Meta's fee through at cost.
A person answers, and we will say how fast
Messaging support from inside the dashboard reaches a human. It alerts a verified handset rather than filing a ticket, and it does not route you to the assistant — a company selling AI support that puts its own customers behind an AI wall has lost the thread, and one Wati reviewer put it better than we could: "Why make them struggle with an AI instead of connecting them with an actual human?"
We aim to answer within the hour during Gulf working hours, and the same day otherwise. Published response times across this category run one to three business days, and that is the most common complaint on Trustpilot, G2 and Capterra alike.
Now the honest part: we can promise that because we have very few customers. It is a real commitment today and you should discount it as we grow. When we can no longer keep it we will change this paragraph rather than quietly stop keeping it.
Nothing unofficial goes near your number
There is a whole genre of article about cheap providers getting business numbers banned, and the advice in all of them is the same: check that your provider uses the official API.
Jabee uses Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API. It has never used Baileys, whatsmeow or any other unofficial library, and it never will — that is the usual cause of a number being blocked, and it is not a corner we are willing to cut.
Two things worth knowing that are not about us. Meta bars general-purpose AI assistants from the WhatsApp Business Platform from 15 January 2026; business-specific agents like Jabee stay allowed, and we have quoted Meta's own clause rather than paraphrasing it. And numbers do sometimes get restricted for reasons that have nothing to do with messaging: one of our own was, and we published what caused it and how the appeal went. That is not a post a vendor writes unless it happened.
What is not good about Jabee
A page like this is worthless if it only lists good news, so here is the rest of it, and the longer version is on the comparison page.
We are very small and very new. One company in Dubai, and jabee.ai was registered in September 2026. There is no logo wall and there are no customer reviews, because there are barely any customers yet. If buying from an established vendor matters to you, we are not one.
Facebook Messenger and Instagram are not connectable yet. Both are built and answer in our own tests, and the Meta permissions they need have been in App Review since 23 October 2026. Until Meta approves them the dashboard will not let you connect either, and we would rather refuse than let a real customer go unanswered. They are already in every plan, so nothing changes in price when they open.
There are real things it cannot do. No broadcasts or campaigns — it answers people who write to you first. No flow builder. No reading of voice notes or video; it keeps the file and hands it to a person. No ticket queue and no SLA reporting.
We are dearer than several products that do the same job. Starter is $49 where ChatPal is free to 100 replies a month and $20 beyond, and Markleyo is $14.50. The comparison page names the cases where one of them is the better buy.
Before any of this matters, find out whether the answers are good. Give the assistant your website address or answer seven questions about your business, then ask it whatever your customers ask. No account, no card, no clock.
